To Inhale and Exhale

Sometimes all you can do is not think. Not wonder. Not obsess. Not imagine. Just breathe. Breathe in, breathe out. Everything works out in the end and the more you worry about it, the longer it's going to take for things to end perfectly, just the way they should.

To Reach Out

College. For many it’s the next stepping stone after high school because of pressure from parents, teachers, society, etc. But for a few, it’s about actually gaining the more specific knowledge that is needed for a stable career. For me, college is a stepping stone but not one that I feel I’m being forced onto stepping. It is one that I know I need to reach my final goal of my career, to research and create a medicine that will cure those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This disease has not only affected my mother and I but also the rest of our family and countless of other people in the world. Therefore, college is the next thing I need to accomplish to learn everything I can about reaching that goal. That is why I am here.

To Hit The Road

I’ve been spending a lot of time behind the wheel lately and I’ve figured out that I absolutely hate driving. But I’d drive countless hours just to spend a few with you.

To Wish You Were Here

I stood at your door with your hands around my waist, and kissed me like you meant it. And the weirdest feeling was I knew you meant it. I hate the distance between us, I miss you all the time.

To Simply Be With You

I promised I would never do this to myself again. That is, be so far away from the one person I care about most. Things are so much simpler when we're together, but I have to admit, the distance makes me have my doubts. I just want to be with you, whatever it takes. I want you here when I come home from work, watch endless episodes of Big Bang with you, stay up all night playing video games with you. But most of all just spend time at the pet store where we can just marvel at all of the beautiful fish without any other care in the world. All I want is to be closer to you. To simply be with you.

To Be Completely Obvious

I miss how you kiss me and how you reach for my hand. I miss lying in bed and falling asleep next to you. I miss hearing your heart beat and how you twitch when you're sleeping deeply. I miss how you wake up just to pull me closer. I miss your cheesy smiles and the way you looked at me. In case you can't tell...I miss you.

To Be Exactly Where I Need To Be

You want to know what happiness is? It's waking up in the middle of the night for no reason, shifting under the blankets and feeling the heat of the person next to you. You turn around and see them in their most peaceful, innocent, and vulnerable state. They breathe as though the weight of the world lies on anyone’s shoulder but their own. You smile, kiss their face in the gentlest manner so as not to wake them. You turn back around and involuntarily a grin forms on your own face. You feel an arm wrap around your waist, and you know it doesn't get any better than this.

To Mind The Gap

Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough.

To Be Baffled

Why anyone on earth would deny themselves happiness is beyond my comprehension.
