Being told how brave they are doesn’t bring them back. Telling them how they died doesn’t ease the sorrow. They already knew how great he was. The only thing they need is the one thing they cannot have. To support them don’t speak, don’t try to cheer them up, don’t cry with them. Just hug them because in that one moment they can convince themselves you are the person they miss the most. For all those who have served and been lost. I pray for the families, and salute those that have given their life.
