This couldn't be more true. I hate when talking to someone about something, and they argue blindly. I think arguing without listening is probably the most common form of ignorance that we see as young adults, especially politically.
But you are completely right, unless you are willing to listen to some one else's side, your views will be just belligerent and pointless.
