To Look Back

I've been spending a lot of time lately thinking about dancing. I miss it, so much. The first time I stepped onto that stage by myself and told a story through dance, I knew that this would become part of my life for good. Nothing I've ever done in my life can compare to the way I felt during that dance. To be able to communicate feeling to an audience of people without saying a word is truly amazing. My mother, who first got me into dancing when I was only 2, still to this day will tell me about that performance. She describes vividly how she has never seen me light up as much as when I am on stage. She also reminds me of how shocked she was the first time I performed because all of my life I had been and introvert, but that I had no fear expressing myself in front of a full audience when I was dancing. Which is completely true, I've never felt more comfortable then when I'm on stage.

I agree with you about how you can use dance to tell a story with your whole body. I have a lot of respect for people that can do that because it takes a lot of strength to look that beautiful and move that same way.

It's so nice that you got a chance to experience dance at such a young age. Is there a reason why you stopped dancing? And is there any way that you would be willing to start again?
